Well, our trip to Babies 'R Us was a successful one! We went Friday after work and after being there approximately 3 minutes, Matt relinquished his need to be in control of the process and handed the reigns over to me. I don't just mean that he was going to let me hold the scanning gun - I mean that he decided he didn't want to do it at all. He said that he was afraid that it would be in his nature to scan one of everything in the store, which would then lead to a lot frustration (for me) and possibly us owning a bunch of crizzap that we don't need. :)
So, we browsed the store, chose the carseat, stroller, pack 'n play, and high chair that we both agreed on. That didn't take long since we generally like the same colors, patterns, etc...I knew it was time to leave when I found him sitting in the gliders - gliding back and forth, back and forth. I only left him alone for a brief moment and he almost self-destructed. So, we left before Matt could change his mind about his role in registering.
I went back on Saturday morning and took care of it all. It's funny because the lady that set me up was talking about all the stuff I should scan and I just nodded. Until she was talking, I didn't realize that we already have a bunch of necessities (like a lava lamp!!). We have a lot of "first week or two" type of stuff to get us by. Another neat thing about the Babies 'R Us registering process is they ask if you are adopting - that's pretty sweet. There's a little box to check and everything! :)
I love the travel system (stroller/carseat) that we found! The color of the model is brand new and I can't find it online anywhere or I would link to it. The set is mostly gray and silver with lime green accents. It's sleek looking and not too bulky. It has gotten great reviews so most likely, we will buy that soon.
Well, I better get some work done today. :) Matt is traveling to Birmingham so it's quiet around the office. It's different here when he's not around. Usually, I'm the one working offsite, but today it's him.
Still working on the profile and waiting for the approval letter. No mail today (Columbus Day), but we know it's coming soon!!
