Here's my question...
***If you take a reasonable, mild-mannered husband, drive him to Babies-R-Us, give him a product scanner and let him loose, then what are the odds that we will end up registered for a lava lamp and Smart Clapper for our nursery?***
I pose this question because last time we registered for anything was for our wedding almost 10 years ago. For reasons beyond my control Matt was in charge of scanning the items and somehow we ended up with a lava lamp and Smart Clapper. The lava lamp has never actually fit with our decor, but lives in Matt's office or hidden between my side of the bed and nightstand for use as a reading light. The Smart Clapper (Thank you Mary!!!!) was pretty awesome until it bit the dust a couple of years ago. :) I'm not just saying that because Mary reads the blog, either!! :) It was fun. Especially when Big Bird's chirping could set it off...or on...or off again. That was pretty funny!
Tonight we will make the infamous trip to Babies-R-Us to jointly check out all the gear and start narrowing down our choices! Not that we think everyone should buy us stuff, but we've waited a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-g time for this. And mostly, I love lists! Also, it will make it easier to order stuff if we need baby gear in a hurry.
We'll have a great time and then we'll get back to work on our profile. We're still waiting for our approval letter. Any day now. :)

That's great - a beautiful leap of faith. We bought a carseat right away, and now have that, a crib, diapers, bottles, and a few outfits. We haven't registered, though.
I hear that BRU is a good place to register because they have a question about when you are expecting, and if adopting, they get that you might not know. As I said, we haven't registered, so I don't know for sure.
