T4: Meeting, Florida and Chuck Norris

Posted by Matt

We are looking forward to attending the adoption seminar with BCS on Friday. It seems like we've been waiting for this meeting forever. It's a mandatory seminar that all adoptive parents have to attend before they can be approved. We have just a couple more things to turn in so we gave ourselves the imaginary deadline of Friday. :) We've had most of the paperwork done and turned in for a while, but these last few things have lingered. It will be such a relief to seal the final envelope this week. We should soon find out when the home visit will be.

Matt and I had a ton of fun going to Orlando with his family a couple weeks ago. Matt had meetings in Atlanta the Thursday before we were supposed to leave for FL so I went with him and we stayed all night in Atlanta - it was great. We both really love Atlanta. We did our usual trip to Ikea and ate at Chipotle, our favorite restaurant in the world. We don't have one in TN so everytime we go anywhere we check to see if there is a Chipotle. They have the best chips and guacamole. We got a couple of things for the nursery (if it's a girl nursery) at Ikea. We left Atlanta on Friday morning and went down to Orlando via Matt's uncle's house in Deltona and then went on to the condo. It was really nice to see everyone. Janna and Chris' kids are growing up SO fast, it's just crazy. We went to Sea World on Saturday and were too tired after much dolphin petting and Shamu viewing to do much of anything on Sunday. Matt's poor dad wanted to go to a Golden Corral (buffet) type place so badly. All of us kids pretty much vetoed that. I still feel badly about it. I promise that when they visit us we'll take them to some crazy steak buffet in Pigeon Forge. :) We came home on Monday and were SO glad to see the girls. As I have said before, we cannot stand leaving them. They are SO sweet ALL the time - we just can't help it. Libby seemed a little spunkier, if that's even possible, when we returned. Her little legs crack us up. She looks like she's standing very properly and when she walks her front feet kind of bounce out. She looks like she could be in marching band - Matt, the former drum major, thinks that is hilarious!

So, besides Florida and procrastinating paperwork we haven't been up to much. I need to finish up this entry so I can go stare at our Total Gym. I bought one off of QVC. It's a less expensive version than the infomerical one. I think that model may cost more than our adoption! :) I can't believe I bought one, but that stinkin' Walker Texas Ranger makes it look so easy. I think if I stare at it long enough it will magically tone my arms. Actually, I enjoy using it but I have to make sure the room is dog-free or we could have some major fur tangling issues. Bye for now...

I was wondering how you were going to get to Chuck. You managed the segue smashingly.
