The Tennessee River cuts through Knoxville, as seen from Neyland Stadium. I quickly comped these shots together, so don't look at the seem too closely.
The famous Sunsphere at World's Fair Park is on the left, but Knoxville's most outstanding spectacle is the Henley Street Bridge on Boomsday! 362 days a year, it's just a bridge, but for the three thundering nights of Labor Day Weekend, it is transformed into the stage for the best fireworks display you'll ever see. There's nothing like fireworks shooting up and down and reflecting off the river.
This is the first year they're expanding Boomsday to a multi-day event. Hopefully, that will help with traffic. Teri and I are looking forward to our third Boomsday celebration.
