I've been spending a lot of time reading from hope to reality, the blog of Carolina Hope Christian Adoption Agency. It was especially helpful while preparing for my recent sermon on the doctrine of adoption at the Vineyard. I've gotten so much out of it that I figured it was time to give them some link lovin'. Here are five reasons why I really, really like their blog:

  • It's an incredible resource on the Theology of Adoption.
  • Practical posts from adoptive parents - I especially like the posts regarding transracial adoption.
  • Great links to other adoption-related sites like EllieDub.com and AdoptiveDads.org.
  • The agency site features a photo that could be my little T in a few months. :) Adorable!
  • They do not shy away from the gritty humanity of adoption. They live it and give the world a glimpse as divinity shows up.
Thank you Dan, Dorothy and Josh! You've made quite an impact on me in the past few weeks and are helping me be a better daddy to Tatum. Please keep the great posts coming!

Thanks, Matt, for the link lovin'. Much appreciated.

I'd love to download your sermon on adoption if it's available! I love it when I hear pastors preaching on adoption!!

Adopted by God,

Dan,
Unfortunately a technical glitch prevented recording in both services that Sunday.  I’m looking forward to sharing this message again and we’ll be sure to post it. Thanks again for your blog – what a blessing!
